Our Story

The team at bar kroketa have singled out the croqueta – one of the most popular Spanish tapas - and made it our signature dish. A postage stamp-sized space at 21 Beak Street in Soho was clamouring for an informal bar and so, with a nod to our friends in Northern Spain, bar kroketa was born. No fuss, no frills, no reservations. A bar where everyone is welcome, whether you’re in a comfortable hurry or ready to set your bags down with time to indulge.

Free from the formalities of a traditional restaurant menu, we’ve designed a space to give guests a true taste of Spanish bar culture with a lively, energised atmosphere and an ‘anything goes’, playful attitude that is underpinned by our love of Spanish ingredients and cooking.

The blackboards will be filled with a frequently changing selection of kroketas alongside countertop bar snacks and small dishes from the open kitchen. The menu will champion off cuts and offal when it comes to meat, and seasonality is at the core. Drinks will feature traditional aperitifs, affordable Spanish wines and playful cocktails alongside the krok cellar for some more unusual, wow factor wines.
