Our Story
The team at bar kroketa have singled out the croqueta – one of the most popular Spanish tapas - and made it our signature dish. A postage stamp-sized space at 21 Beak Street in Soho was clamouring for an informal bar and so, with a nod to our friends in Northern Spain, bar kroketa was born. A bar where everyone is welcome, whether you’re in a comfortable hurry or ready to set your bags down with time to indulge.
2024 marks bar kroketa’s first foray into breakfast with a venue that spreads true Spanish bar culture across two floors in St. Christopher’s Place, a wonderful oasis just a few steps away from Oxford Street.
Free from the formalities of a traditional restaurant menu, our bars are designed to give guests a lively, energised atmosphere with an ‘anything goes’, playful attitude that is underpinned by our love of Spanish ingredients and cooking.
The blackboards are filled with a frequently changing selection of kroketas alongside countertop bar snacks and small dishes from the open kitchen. Drinks will feature traditional aperitifs, affordable Spanish wines and playful cocktails alongside the krok cellar for some more unusual, single-estate wines.
